I couldn’t wait any longer — I knew it was only a matter of time before I would make the Panasonic GH3 mine. I’ve been shooting on GH1’s, and had never upgraded to the GH2. I’ve already done a couple video shoots with it, and it’s absolutely amazing.

I needed an excuse to shoot some photos with it. I threw on the 20mm pancake lens and went for a bike ride to a place I’ve wanted to visit for a long time — the Erie Cemetery. It’s strange, because everyone has laughed at me when I told them I was shooting in the cemetery. I don’t think it’s strange at all — I’m fascinated by the styles and arrangement of tombstones, the architecture and artistry of the mausoleums, the history, and the peaceful nature.

I knew it was large, but didn’t realize the cemetery was that large. I shot for about an hour, and really only covered a small corner. Expect more photos to come, as I’ll be visiting again for sure.
